It was really an amazing experience with Doctor Sahab. I was facing so much issues with my asthama. But after taking medicine from Doctor Sahab Alhamdulillah I am feeling very good now. Earlier I used Inhaler thrice a day but after meeting the Doctor Sahab I used to take it only once a day. Highly Recommended doctor.

Thank you Allah and Doctor Sahab for helping me in curing my disease.

About Dr. S. H. Siddiqui

Dr. S. H. Siddiqui

Dr. S.H. Siddiqui is a highly qualified and experienced medical professional with a B.I.M.S. degree from Jamia Hamdard (New Delhi), obtained in 1981. Certified & Registered under Delhi Bhartiya Chikitsa Parishad (B.I.M.S. comes under MINISTRY OF AYUSH). He has a deep understanding of various medical treatments and is able to provide his patients with a wide range of treatment options, ensuring they receive the best care possible.

At his clinic in Delhi-NCR, Dr. Siddiqui has become known for his expertise in hijama cupping, an ancient therapy that uses cups to create suction on the skin to improve circulation and alleviate pain. This treatment has been proven to be effective for various conditions, such as muscle aches, asthma, and even mental health issues.

In addition to hijama cupping, Dr. Siddiqui also offers expert Herbal and Unani treatments that are tailored to each patient’s unique needs. These treatments are based on traditional medicine practices that have been used for centuries to promote overall health and wellness.

Types of Hijama Cupping Therapy

Dry cupping therapy being performed on a patient’s back

Dry Cupping

Dry hijama cupping is a traditional method of using suction cups to promote healing and relaxation. The cups are placed on the skin and left in place for a set period of time, typically 5-10 minutes. This technique is believed to improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and alleviate muscle tension. Dry cupping is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that is suitable for people of all ages.

Wet hijama cupping therapy session in progress

Wet Cupping

Wet hijama cupping is a therapeutic technique that uses suction cups on the skin to stimulate blood flow and remove stagnant blood. The practitioner may make a small incision for controlled bleeding and use the suction of the cups to draw out the blood. It is believed to improve circulation and treat various health concerns. Only trained medical professionals should perform wet hijama cupping.

What Happens on Your First Visit

No treatment is given before Dr. Siddiqui has assessed you. The consultation is free, and you are not obliged to book a session afterwards.

1. Free consultation

Dr. Siddiqui reviews your medical history, current symptoms, and any medication you take. Around 10–15 minutes.

2. Assessment

He decides whether hijama is appropriate for your condition, and if so whether dry or wet cupping suits it better.

3. Your session

Cups are applied to the relevant points. Typically 20–40 minutes depending on how many areas are treated.

4. Aftercare

You leave with written aftercare guidance, and phone support afterwards if anything concerns you.

Session pricing is confirmed at your free consultation, once we know what you actually need — we do not sell fixed packages in advance.

Safety, Hygiene and Who Should Not Have Hijama

Wet cupping is an invasive procedure. Being clear about how we control risk — and when we decline to treat — matters more than any marketing claim we could make.

Our hygiene protocol

  • Fresh, single-use disposable cups and blades for every patient — nothing that contacts skin is reused.
  • Sterilised, sealed instruments opened in front of you.
  • Treatment surfaces cleaned and re-covered between patients.
  • Clinical waste disposed of separately, not in general refuse.
  • Gloves worn for all wet cupping procedures.

When we will not treat you

  • You take blood thinners (warfarin, heparin, clopidogrel) or have a bleeding or clotting disorder.
  • You are pregnant — several cupping points are avoided entirely in pregnancy.
  • There is an active skin infection, eczema flare, or open wound at the treatment site.
  • You have uncontrolled diabetes, severe anaemia, or are undergoing chemotherapy.
  • You have had surgery in the area recently.
  • You are under 12, unless referred by your doctor.

Tell Dr. Siddiqui about every medication you take before your session. If hijama is not the right treatment for your condition, he will tell you and refer you to a conventional doctor. We would rather lose a booking than treat someone we should not.

Not Sure If Hijama Is Right for You?

The first consultation is free and there is no obligation to book a session afterwards. Ask Dr. Siddiqui directly about your condition.

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions patients actually ask us before their first session.

Does hijama cupping hurt?

Dry cupping feels like firm, pulling suction — uncomfortable rather than painful. For wet cupping, the small incisions are usually described as a brief scratch. Mild tenderness at the site for a day or two afterwards is normal and expected.

Are the marks permanent?

No. The circular marks are a temporary, controlled bruise caused by drawing blood to the surface. They typically fade within 7 to 10 days. A darker mark usually means more congestion was present in that area, not that something went wrong.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends entirely on the condition. Some patients notice a difference after a single session; chronic joint pain or hair-loss cases are usually reviewed across several visits. Dr. Siddiqui gives you an honest estimate at the consultation rather than selling a fixed package upfront.

What does it cost?

The first consultation is free. Session pricing depends on how many areas are treated and is confirmed with you at that consultation, before anything goes ahead. There are no charges you have not agreed to first.

Is a female therapist available?

Yes. Experienced female therapists are available for women who prefer this, in a private treatment room. Please mention it when you book so we can schedule accordingly.

Can I have hijama while fasting?

Many patients choose to have hijama while fasting. Tell us when you book so the timing and the aftercare advice can be adjusted — particularly around hydration.

Is hijama safe with my medication?

Tell Dr. Siddiqui exactly what you take. Blood thinners such as warfarin, heparin, or clopidogrel are a reason we will decline or modify treatment. Some Unani herbal remedies can also interact with prescription medicine, which is why the consultation comes first.

How long does a session take?

The cupping itself is usually 20 to 40 minutes depending on how many areas are treated. Add roughly 10 to 15 minutes for consultation on a first visit.

How should I prepare?

Eat a light meal beforehand unless you are fasting, drink water, and avoid heavy exercise and alcohol that day. Wear something loose that gives easy access to the area being treated.
